John Mathes directs our brand strategies and brings nearly 30 years of senior branding, branch design, advertising, and innovative marketing experience to the table. He honed his skills at some of the nation's largest ad agencies, strategic consulting, branding, and branch strategy firms, including Brandpartners.
John has managed some of the country’s most well known financial retail accounts such as SunTrust Bank, H&R Block and Huntington Bank. Additionally, he has developed brand and marketing strategies for dozens of large and small credit unions and community banks. He leverages this knowledge with his advertising agency experience, having led the national advertising accounts of retail brands like Wal-Mart, BellSouth Mobility and Kohl’s.
The underlying and connecting thread throughout John’s career is the retail component. Since the days he worked his way through college managing the local Radio Shack, he has never lost sight of how powerful the retail channel is at translating and manifesting a brand’s differentiation. Combine this with the interactive stage that retail plays in bringing a brand’s story to life and you’ll begin to understand the unique perspective and enthusiasm that John brings to branded retail-selling space.
John has a deep understanding of the senior-level market growth challenges that financial services clients face today and provides Weber Marketing Group clients a seasoned perspective and leadership position for managing their business strategies.
