The island of Guam is known for its warm, family-oriented people and comfortable, low-key lifestyle. The Government of Guam Employees Federal Credit Union understood that the heart of Guam lies in the people who live there — and they needed a new name that would better reflect those attributes.

The credit union first reached out to a local agency, but soon realized they needed the expertise of a specialized naming and branding firm with a defined process. That’s when they called Weber Marketing Group. The Weber team did their homework and worked with the credit union’s board, guiding the name decision to a positive conclusion.

After completing a detailed process that weighed branding and legal considerations, GGEFCU selected Coast360 as the credit union’s new name and brand foundation.

The Coast360 name reflects more than the island’s beautiful lifestyle, it speaks to a philosophy of sustainability, service and a united community that works together and thrives because of it.

The launch of the new name and brand quickly became one big party. Local musicians, an abundance of food, and the island spirit welcomed the new name with a kick-off event that even had fire dancers! Coast360 is now in a position to increase membership and share its benefits with all islanders for many years to come.
