Columbia CU recycled door display

This display was made from an old door found at a local salvage yard. The project proves you don’t have to sacrifice style, cross-selling opportunities or your budget when pursuing a green merchandising strategy.

A truly green retail branch for a true-green credit union

Columbia Credit Union knew Weber Marketing, with its own LEED Gold certified headquarters, could appreciate the value and significance of environmentally sustainable facilities. For Columbia’s new green branch prototype, Weber Marketing worked closely with EHS Design, vendors and suppliers to engineer the most eco-friendly merchandising solutions possible.

Weber Marketing’s team of financial merchandising experts designed features that relied on sustainable hardware, green inks and completely recycled materials. Use of laminates and adhesives was minimized to reduce the impact on the environment. Some displays were made by applying water-based coatings directly to recycled substrates, thus avoiding harmful inks and pulp-based papers.
